I don't think Vista killed CompUSA, rather, I think they
did it to themselves.  There was a CompUSA store in
Cambridge MA, a few blocks from MIT and handy to Harvard
U -- about as good a place as you could find.  But it was
just a bad place to shop -- rent-a-cops onto anyone who
didn't "look" right, store space filled too tight: it was
a disagreeable place to shop.  Not nearly so close to
anywhere is a MicroCenter, maybe two miles walk from
there, they are alive and well and thriving today.  I
believe CompUSA authored and signed their own collapse.
