No, that was not the point Roy was making. He was saying they settled to
prevent the DOJ getting evidence that would, supposedly, find them in
contempt of court.

Look at the date. 1989. Browsers? 1989. The web browser didn't even
exist. 1989.
IE did not exist in 1989. nor did any other web browser.
