I just finished building a Shuttle X mod with a VIA Nehemiah 1GHz*
processor. Cost me Â130 ((US$260) all in. 512MB PC2700, 80GB HD, DVDRW/DL.
Chances are you'd be able to get a build for a lot less than that.

*OK, it doesn't sound like much, but it does a fine job as a PVR/CCTV
hub/office box.
