Are you being sarcastic, or do you really believe that?

Ubuntu required a single reboot after installation, to update the
kernel and some modules.

When I installed XP:
Rebooted after installing my WiFi card
Rebooted after installing my video card
Rebooted after installing my printer
Rebooted after removing an expired bundled-in anti-virus
Rebooted after installing a new anti-virus
Rebooted after installing my firewall
Rebooted after installing a web proxy/filter
Rebooted after installing MS Office
Rebooted after installing the MS patches and security updates
