Amazon.com and Microsoft form alliance to push HD DVD

It seems like the same old trick. Microsoft can't get OOXML accepted, so it
pays Corel, Novell, Xandros and Linspire to show pseudo-support and be forced
to implement some lousy 'translators' that will always just follow Microsoft's
leads.
Other steps were taken in attempts to save HD DVD. Toshiba and Microsoft offer
new 'features'.
