Well, there you have it then. Replace everything with
Microsoft Windows Vista, and declare it the standard.
The VoleLovers(tm) would *love* that.
I hope they're calling for documented standards as well.

I have a 20x4 company-issued Motorola pager. It's so
old it just beeps (though one can select from several
precanned beep varieties -- no tunes, though, just chirps).
No graphics, no ringtones. It can send and receive short
text emails.
Wonder when 20x4 will become fashionable again?

There's a fair amount of toxicity in computer equipment.
Gold in particular is used on the connectors (corrosion-resistance).
Batteries, too.
