I have been very pleased with OpenOffice. It opens complex, multitab
Excel (R) spreadsheets, Word (R) documents, PowerPoint (R) presentations.
I was even able to import a full year's worth of weather data from a
column justified text file.
Also, my Mozilla Thunderbird imported all my E-mails from Outlook's (R)
E-mail storage (.PST) file.
These are excellent solutions to proprietary offerings, well worth
consideration. Those who purchase computers from places like Wal-Mart
will be pleased to find how comprehensible these solutions are.
Sometimes the best solutions are only a download away. :-)
