In the router market, it is easier to use BSD, for the coporation, that
is, since the BSD licence permits use and closed source redistribution
(AFAIK).
Personally, however, I have better experience with OpenBSD and it did
what I wanted way back before iptables was stable, and I'm happy with
that. Some day, however, I will convert some of the bsd routers to
linux.
Also, it would be nice to see some hard core stats of a simple router,
a complex firewall rule set and various network cards! That would be a
killer project.
