OpenSolaris uses the same desktop environments and programs, so it's all down
to kernel development and momentum. Tomorrow's battles probably won't
involve Apple and Microsoft, which are passe on paper (proprietary,
sales-based model). Google tested OpenSolaris on its servers last year.

Linux keeps improving every day though...
