Of course that's what happens. It's simple: if more than 2% or so of PCs
(Linux userbase) are sold without an OS, it's very likely pirated Windows is
being installed on the remainder.

They have their moments, I'll agree. Like charging $399 for a full version
of Vista Ultimate. Or asking me for $899 to renew an MSDN Pro subscription
for one year. On the other hand, you can sign up as an MS Partner and get a
yearly $300 subscription to as many as 10 licenses for lots of their
business software - it's an incredible deal.
