If only these things were announced...
Sadly, no multi-million company has an interst in boasting Linux adoption.
Novell, for example, /always/ talks about "SUSE", not Linux. That's
the 'problem' with Free software -- publicity and marketing. Nothing
technical.
In this case, all we get was a pass-by word from a blog. No press releases. No
media coverage. There is nobody with interest in extra exposure and nobody who
will reach out for a journalist.
Gradually and quietly, Linux appears in more and more places. Many of these
machines are not intended for Web surfing, so the adoption seems invisible.
Exchange of CDs and downloads cannot be tracked either. I'm seeing some nice
stories in the feed reader and I'll post more items shortly. Entire states
move to Linux.
