Seems to support the generally accepted view, that Linux is very much
ahead of the pack now. The Beryl/Compiz stuff was probably the first
moment where Linux became so far ahead on the desktop that even an
non-technical person could recognise it.
There still remains a strong requirement to beef up the synchronisation
of diaries, calendars and contacts between mobile devices and groupware
and desktops, though.
