I don't know hypervisors too well, but I think that Xen has some patches put
in the kernel at one stage or another. I think they are among the
contributers. VMWare have just got their own little patch inserted. I wonder
if it messes things up. Sounds like it's becoming a tad monolitic /and/
large. Adding complexity to the core isn't too wise. It is something we have
always tried to avoid in WordPress, which can otherwise become a resource
hog and a beast one cannot hack on or test properly.
