Only the battles from the corporate hounds can prevent this. Yesterday, some
FBI-esque guy from Microsoft came to the University and I was told by a
prominent person at the here that there will be some 'handshaking' going on.
I don't think students and ordinary staff get to vote on where their money
(tuition or wave deduction) goes... even if it hands up in the hand of
fiends that thrive in a mafia-like culture. What am I getting at here? Look
what Dell has been offering with its PCs all these years? Then see what
happened when it opened up to customers and asked what they wanted. IIRC,
80% of them wanted GNU/Linux. But the suit are in deep denial. The battle
against greed and truth? As Red Hat titled its series of videos, "Truth
Happens". One of the videos was called "Inevitable" and another was called
"Choice". Now we're seeing it.
