Patents, like DRM, are becoming weaker and weaker every day. Companies that
depend of these for survival are diminishing, so their power to influence
politics is decreasing as well. Disruptive technology (e.g. YouTube for open
publishing for all, blogging to replace newspapers, amateurs to replace
'professional' photographers, Free software to eliminate lockins) are here
to stay and grow further.
