This and simmilar partnerships are probably going to be very good for
Redhat. It is the sort of assurance the IT folk need to be more certain
that their system will transfer from a UNIX base to a Linux base. It
doesn't really matter that some of these are unknown outside of the USA, it
is more a matter of 'if they can do it, so can we. Linux can't be the big
mystery that we thought it was'.

Probably the biggest player in this that I have seen so far is Sybase.
Sybase is one of those strange ones where those that use it love it and
would be unlikely to change platforms unless they could take their beloved
Sybase with them. So for them the need of a properly supported Linux
platform base is probably the only thing that will make them budge.

I just looked on the Sybase website and was surprised at the range of work
they do these days. They have really spread their wings since I last
looked. Some very impresssive test results too for multi-site systems.
