My first ever distro was Rhat years ago.
I remember I got put down by the unwieldy installer.
It was the best in those days but not by todays standards.
Any mistake took hours to rectify with another install because I was
a novice and couldn't fix anything at that time.
In the end I stopped experimenting - at least until the liveCDs came out.
For that bit of old war wound, I would say to Rhat, make
your installers are simple as possible. Look at Ubuntu, DSL, Knoppix, Mepis
etc and see how advanced their more simple and quicker installers are.
