[News] Microsoft Already Dropping Prices and Vista to Fight GNU/Linux

Of Microsoft, GNU/Linux and Boiled Asses' Heads

| Despite Microsoft's characteristically upbeat spin on the latest decision,
| its volte-face on Windows XP shows that it has been caught wrong-footed with
| the rise of the ultraportables.

| A prominent example of open source software is the Linux operating system...

| you who is Microsoft's biggest competitor now, who would it be?
|
| Ballmer: Open...Linux. I don't want to say open source. Linux, certainly have
| to go with that.
