Verily I say unto thee, that Peter Köhlmann spake thusly:

Jealousy is the least of his (many) problems.
Addressing his "complaints" one at a time:
"Anti-choice" - the implication here being that by somehow censoring
(LOL, I'll come back to that one in a minute) the Trolls, I am using
that "censorship" to inhibit their evangelism of Windows, thus these
viewpoints are not exposed to others, who might otherwise take those
views into consideration when making decisions about their choice of
operating system.
There are at least three rather obvious problems with that assertion
but I'll spell it out anyway, for the benefit of idiots like Hadron:
1 ... Perhaps Hadron can explain how I manage to access his computer
to filter all the news posts I don't want him (or anyone else)
to see. That's quite a trick, (or IOW, he's an idiot).
2 ... His views, and that of the other Microsoft-sponsored saboteurs
in COLA, are neither legitimate nor reasonable, they're simply
the lies; hyperbole and FUD passed down from Microsoft to them
for the purpose of attacking Microsoft's "No. one competitor",
and as such, it would be highly misleading for anyone to count
these posts as "Linux advocacy" one way or another. You'll see
that there are in fact posts from Windows /users/, included in
the stats from time to time (when they post) ... just not from
any Microsoft shills.
3 ... Presenting anything which supports Microsoft as a "choice", is
like presenting drug trafficking as a "choice". It may well be
a "choice", but it's not an ethical one, and it's certainly no
"choice" I'd be encouraging by further spreading the criminals'
propaganda in COLA ... in the stats or otherwise.
"Bigoted views" - the implication here is that dissent against thugs
like Microsoft, who sabotage charities and bribe standard officials,
is "bigoted". If that's true, then I guess that makes the government
a bunch of bigots too, since both the US DOJ and European Commission
prosecuted Microsoft for Antitrust crimes. But then I suppose if Mr.
"Quark" has aligned himself with criminals, then he's predisposed to
defend them. Dissent against gangsters like Microsoft is one's moral
duty ... and that is /not/ any kind of bigotry.
As for "censoring" - in addition to the fact (which apparently I had
to spell out for Hadron) that I have no power to censor COLA, beyond
sending cancel messages which would likely be completely ignored (or
even reported as abuse), discounting posts from shills; astroturfers
and Trolls in a *stats post*, is no more "censorship" than filtering
any other kind of spam, in fact it's considerably /less/ so, since I
am not actually /removing/ any posts at all, I'm simply not counting
them as advocacy posts for the purpose of statistics (and rightly so
too). These posts are not any form of Linux advocacy whatsoever, and
so they don't belong in COLA, therefore they certainly do not belong
in the statistics for this group.
I hope this is now clear enough even for COLA's resident "genius" -
Hadron, although I fear I've wasted my time, as trying to get Quark
to understand even the simplest concept is like lecturing a turnip.
The one good thing to come from his incessant squealing, is that it
is abundantly clear he's desperate for attention ... either for his
own benefit or for that of his (presumed) "sponsor", therefore it's
pretty obvious that /ignoring/ the Trolls has a direct and negative
impact on their agenda, whatever that may be.
Let them squeal in silence, and take satisfaction from the fact you
are harming their twisted cause much more than if you take the bait
by engaging them in their little "evangelism" game.
