Microsoft cuts Windows 7 features - already
,----[ Quote ]
| In the end, it basically says that 7 is going to be an unlucky number. If
| they are already hacking at the few expected features now, imagine how much
| more is going to be cut when they are facing real deadlines?

It has occurred to me that this is *it*. It's the tipping point.
This is the time when Microsoft ceases to be a software company. Instead, it
starts applying for patent like there's no tomorrow (well-observed fact)
before becoming RIAA 2.0, i.e. Industry Bully. Then, like the RIAA or SCO, it
will gradually destroy itself by attacking customers.

Impossible thing #1: Developing efficient, well engineered free software like
Debian GNU/Linux
,----[ Quote ]
| So, not only does free software represent a vast amount of effort, but it is
| apparently very well-engineered and efficient effort leading to an even
| higher use value than equivalent proprietary products! Not only can free
| software manage large, complex projects, but it appears to do it better than
| proprietary methods.

MS Insider: The Office Crew Isn't Smart Enough to Supplant Real Windows

| "With Alchin retiring, MarkL and MarkZ, two of the most talented

| He concluded ominously. "A trainwreck of biblical proportions looms.
