Firstly, Ausus is a hardware company. They are not software resellers.
There are plenty who do that. So by not collecting the micoshaft
tax, they become more efficient and whatever money they make they
keep to themselves. At the lower prices they are selling, they are
making a fortune for themselves - no sooner have they shipped a
container, its sold and money is in the bank. And they can't
ship enough - all stores have run out or are very low
on Ausus Linux EEE PCs.
Further, no one is stopping the likes of Ausus from gathering up open source
applications and making them into big bundles to sell them on
pre-installed and charge for the service and make even more money
and keep it all to themselves.
Its better than letting micoshaft gathering up open source
applications, washing it and rebadging it as proprietory
and selling it to Ausus to sell on and give back to micoshaft some big
percentage of their income to micoshaft. Particularly by being
forced to channel stuff it rather than actually make a sale.
No one is buying windummy crapola at the prices that have
to be charged to make a profit for companies stiffled by
micoshaft marketing crapola.
