Microsoft Windows: bloated _BY DESIGN_.
Next time some FunkF*ck or Tim FunkF*ck wannabe tells you that Windows is
light, reminder him or her that Microsoft deliberate makes its O/S a pig, in
order to sell more hardware and keep the love triangle (kickbacks also) alive.
If this is not anti-consumer collusion, I do not know what /is/. In fact, the
European Commission ought to look into this. It already investigates Intel
(antitrust) and has 3+ antitrust investigations against Microsoft. It could
launch another one and do some 'merging'. This whole mafia culture at software
and hardware level (see refs in the OP about OLPC) is modern day disgrace that
future generations deserve to know about. It's also a demonstration of the
harms of monopolies.
