This is particularly sad.  I know for a fact how deeply entrenched the
MnSCU system was in Desire2Learn (I did work for them at one time).  They
put all their eggs in one basket.

Unfortunately, they chose to take a "wait and see" approach to this when
they learned of the patent lawsuit.  And, rather than taking steps early to
reduce their risks, they chose to just wait it out and see what happened.
Now, they're fucked.

Perhaps they can come to an agreement with Blackboard that allows them to
continue running D2L while they begin a migration program.
