Years ago I had a friend and fellow home-brewer that the police
somehow decided might be a drug dealer (trust me, I knew the guy
pretty well and he wasn't). They busted into his place one night
and, not finding any drugs, seized his brewing equipment (kitchen
scales, thermometer, hydrometer, copper tube wurt chiller) and
tried to call it drug paraphernalia. It was eventually thrown
out of court but not until after he shelled out some serious
money (for him anyway) on a lawyer. I am hoping he eventually
recovered court costs but I never found out. I know that months
later he still hadn't gotten all his stuff back.

Yeah, I drank the Open Source cool-aid... Unlike the other brand, it had
all the ingredients on the label.
