Sounds paranoid, and of course the dimwit trolls trivialize it, but
microsoft has a past history of paying people to spread FUD. There
was the long ago blatant trolling of Steve Barkto (aka Rick Segal),
who pretended to be an OS/2 user, but was a microsoft employee who
attacked OS/2. For over a decade there was (and unfortunately recently
revived), a psycho-troll who called himself the os2guy, who did
everything he could to attack OS/2, OS/2 developers and OS/2 users.
This nutcase has now embraced Macs, but that is probably fake as well,
and his intention most likely is to drive people away from the Mac
groups with his incessant, insane blather. Just within the past week
or so an active microsoft employee posting anonymously who was
unveiled in the comp.os.os2 groups after he posted supporting the long
time anti-OS/2 troll. He admitted it and said it wasn't important who
