Firefox is not a Linux-specific application.  In fact,
there are very few Linux-specific applications.

One might make a case for iptables, but even that wouldn't
require Linux, just certain API from the kernel to implement
the filtering policies.

Perhaps a better question is:  What applications should be
implemented on Linux and GUIs that the average user will
want to use and more importantly pay actual money for?

(The only answer coming to mind is some form of custom work.)
