Thats just plain old corporate lie.
Micoshaft closed source products DO NOT enable developers to QUICKLY
to write desktop or ASP.NET applications.
There NO SOURCE CODE for the underlying engines to check
failed programs and tripe written behind undocumented APIs.
Anyone touching monodevelop crapola is gonna drag their
companies and their projects down the drain.

The only things that are out there that can rescue you from
crap technology is open source technology.

PHP, LAMP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Gambas, Python, etc etc are all available
free and open source to produce faster software and better
coded software without any licensing issues and hidden
encumbrances that Novel and Micoshaft are planning to put into
mono crap. Neither company has done any work to pledge
absolute rock hard irrevocable immunity not to sue mono crapola developers.

And why might that be?

So they can come and sue the companies that hire and use mono crapola?

Forget it.
Stick to Linux and open source and you can't go wrong.
