Microsoft Times is Highly Reliable - honest

| Even the IT focus is clear: see that kimchi-flavored Windoze Vi$ta, with a

| Vi$ta.

Why Microsoft will dump their anti-Linux rhetoric
,----[ Quote ]
| Microsoft’s PR department are insulting their audience. They are lacking in
| integrity. It’s time for the site to be pulled down. Here’s why.

Microsoft arguments against Linux are bollocks
,----[ Quote ]
| Mind you, the bad experience was dubious; in essence a Windows shop acquired
| a smaller company which ran Linux. By rolling out their existing standard
| operating platform they cut costs. Really, the operating system used was
| irrelevant; it’s a no brainer that you will gain efficiency and reduce costs
| by having a standard platform over all your sites.
|
| In the end, to my mind, the solution implemented did not meet the high goals
| the company had in mind. Disappointingly, it’s most likely budget constraints
| were the cause – and if an open source solution had been chosen there could
| have been more bang for buck.
|
| It was a very weak case study. Perhaps it had merits if it were touted
| as “Microsoft designs solution for Video Ezy” but it was not; it was pitched
| as a direct battle between the two operating systems, with Microsoft winning.
| This just was not the case.

A case study: Video Ezy and Microsoft myths about open source lead to flawed

| A pity; if they’d gone with Linux they could have had the idea central

Reviewing a Microsoft anti-Linux case study
,----[ Quote ]
| The answer is that neither Linux nor Solaris nor any other Unix variant is
| mentioned in this report; Microsoft simply hung an anti-Linux label on a
| very carefully worded story about a pair of committed Microsoft partners,
| HP and Accenture, getting together with Microsoft to sell rather simple
| technology to a willing customer - whose employers, I think, should be
| seriously embarrassed.

Microsoft's 'Get The Facts' Linux Site Replaced

A Pre-BRM Miscellany

| Google searches for "ODF" and "OpenDocument" or even "noooxml" are now
| returning sponsored links with phrases like "Learn the truth about the
| standard for interoperability" that lead you to a pro-OOXML petition on
| Microsoft's faux OOXML community site. For example, try this query.
|
| Let's see if I understand how this pay-per-click system works. Every time I
| click these sponsored links, money gets transferred out of some pro-OOXML
| supporter's bank account and is sent to Google? These seems the expensive
| route to go, but there is some logic to it. A look at Google Trends shows
| that Google queries for "ODF" far outnumber queries for "OOXML".
|
| On the other side, at the real <NO>OOXML petition, the count stands at 82,422
| signatures. Apparently they did not need to trick people into visiting their
| web site.
