They'd be better get Vista sorted out before they move to that vaporware
called "7", which according to Ballmer is "work on progress" built on top of
another "work on progress." If you build a one-story house on top of mud, then
you can't build a cardboard-made second floor. It's bound to fall faster and
you can't fix the first floor while the shoddy second one is in the process of
being constructed. Microsoft understands this, but it hides this from the
public.
According to one source, 7 is indeed just a plan on paper and a lot of
vapourware to freeze the market.
Microsoft : Windows 7 still in planning stage and will take approximately 3
years to develop.

BTW, Vista did have a lot of nice features like COFEE (a USB-enabled back door
for policemen), DRM, and forced upgrades that help elevate Intel's revenue.
Vista's costumer is not the user. It's a lot of other establishments and
billionaires. Expect no better from other products, including Zune which
allegedly has a 'copyrights cop' built in.
