Indeed they are. The whole fanzine culture is typically run by people
of relatively limited means, on behalf of typically extremely
well-rewarded performers. Somehow, one thinks that the performers would
be better advised to consider rewarding those giving them free time and
effort in terms of publicity and marketing, rather than attacking them
for a recording which only a real enthusiast could love.
