I have seen appil kit and its complete plastiky turn off!
I don't like dummed down UIs either.
What I like is strong and sturdy builds that can be modified
to suit every purpose and nearly everything I
have has survived more than 15 years of reconfiguration.
They are all thrown out / given away still working.
