ISO's workgroups that apply are filled with Microsoft cronies (see
http://www.openxml.info/ for details) who, according to last week's meeting in
Asia, want to 'harmonise' (i.e. swallow) ODF, thus making it more like the
crime that's the proprietary format, OOXML.
The world gradually adopts ODF and Microsoft can't let it be without embracing
(and 'extending' and extinguishing) the standard.
ODF can be implemented (already *is*) under Linux; OOXML cannot. In fact, no
application implements OOXML. It's a decoy, a patent trap, and a story of
endless corruption.
