Dell screwed up. No wait...they didn't screw anything
up. They fully intended to do what they did. Now tell me
they are not under the thumb of Microsoft. Why was this
statement necessary? Let the customer decide. So tell me
Dell is a friend of Linux or that they are not complete
quislings for the Redmond Empire. Oh please...I do so
want to hear you tell me this. It will be an Academy
Award performance. It will have to be to explain away
this.

Click on the Dell ad, up comes a readable jpeg image. What
I find ironic is the top portion mentions "Genuine Windows
XP Home Edition", but the photo is that of the Ubuntu 8.04
"mini-OS".
(Most likely it is X-Windows XFCE, but that is another
topic.)
Dell is being wrapped up by Microsoft. Watching the charts in
antitrust memos is like analysing a network of organised crime
(white-collar crime).
Not quite sure what you mean by that. Historically based on what
has been exposed by the news media and court case documents,
Microsoft has caused OEMs that did not comply with Microsoft to
receive unfavourable licensing prices that hurt their sales.
Windows 7 is Ubuntu? :-)
Are you insulting Ubuntu now, just like the COLA trolls? ;-)
Oh, I was being facetious. I think the mould has been broken. I
don't think the reception for Windows 7 will be as enthusiastic
as for new versions in the past. Vista received a cool reception
and XP continues in its stead instead.
The netbook phenomena goes to show that Linux now has more than
just a foothold in the market. I watch our Wintrolls attempt to
slime the Linux movement, which goes to show they have nothing
more to do.
It is the eve of Windows 7, I expect more trolling activity in COLA.
