Desktops are not analogous to computers and the vast majority of computers
(over 97% IIRC) are not desktops.

Linux dominates with about 94% market share in top computers, about 40%
(estimated) in devices and a huge share in servers. It’s used more extensively
than Mac OS and Windows, for example.
