Verily I say unto thee, that chrisv spake thusly:
> You stayed-up until midnight and drank champagne? You party animal!
> I was in bed by 10:30!
Booooooorrriiiing!
OK, so I only had two drinks: A bottle of whisky and a bottle of Jack.
Nah, it was one /shot/ of each, first after a meal in a hotel, then at
home. I could have gone to bed at quarter to one, but I don't normally
do that anyway, so I stayed up 'till 4 watching films (a DVD of Animal
House and The Blues Brothers - double feature). I'd forgotten how good
they are, especially the car chase at the end of The Blues Brothers. I
enjoyed it all the more because my sister's giganimous plasma display,
which makes the screen size of some of our local cinemas look small by
comparison, makes you almost forget you're watching a film.
> On the other hand, by 8:30 this morning, I had coffee and newspaper,
> breakfast, and my exercise for the day (a 4-mile run) all done.
I cycle 10 miles a day (the circuit I do just happens to be 10 miles),
but not at 8:30. I doubt I could even manage the /coffee/ part of your
schedule at that time of day, much less the exercise bit. I'm more the
brunch type. Of course by "brunch" I mean a pot of tea and a cigarette
(or three). Hmmm, what's wrong with this picture? OK, I guess I really
should give up cycling ;)
>> Best wishes to everyone for a happy and prosperous New Year.

Or in my case, the hospital.
