So because someone learns *OpenOffice.org* in school now, it's going to
cause them to be so clueless about how to run MS Office when they enter
the workforce (assuming people are still using MS Office and not, oh
say, Google Docs...)?
Puh-lease. That's the biggest load of horseshit I've ever heard in my
life. Anyone that can't figure out how to use MS Office after learning
proficiency in OpenOffice.org deserves to be working at Taco Bell.

My high school taught WordPerfect Office long after MS Office was
dominant. Why? Corel gave it away to schools for free (or at least
a very low price). The school did NOT try to hide that fact either, and
told us that Corel's agenda was to get us hooked so that our generation
might be inclined to switch over. Guess what: it didn't work. Because
switching between office suites is *dead easy*, even for a moron.
