You'd have to check usage in more places (which they don't). Apple is bigger
than Linux in wealthy countries, but Linux is about an order of magnitude
larger than Apple in less developed countries, of which there are many more.
Watch the antitrust exhibits where Microsoft's internal documents show this.
Ballmer's latest slide shows that on the desktop Linux has more market share
than Apple.
BTW, Net Applications is managed by Hopkins et al. He's from Microsoft
(acquired by it, AFAIK), some say an investor in it (or was), and Microsoft is
a paying client of Net Applications. That's how Net Applications makes income.
