On a positive note, there are many good Netbook alternatives which
include Linux these days.
It's not worth sticking with a vendor that is so out of touch
with their user base.
Maybe they just wanted to use Linux when it was a niche
market. Now that the market is getting saturated, they see
more money by partnering up.
