The MVP demonstrated what I see a lot in Digg. People friend me, and
I look at their profile. They represent a company/website/blog and
first start off with “normal” submissions, such as ones for sports/
celebrity/world news. They want to not look like a spammer. However,
then they push their own websites/companies by submitting stuff from
them on Digg after they have a solid following. I used to get so many
spam shouts from people I though were quality submitters at first.
Now, I wait about a month before friending someone back. I want to
see if they have sincere intentions.
