I read 4 or 5 posts. It appears Linus is griping about a particular
function (not default necessarily) of ext3/ext4, not about ext3 in
general.
In short Roy didn't have anything to write about even if he knew of its
existence. But a renowned FUDpacker like Erik can't afford to miss an
opportunity to bitch about Roy in his neverending quest to get Roy's
attention.
