Privacy Group Wants FTC To Shut Down Gmail... Again

| I went over to their site to see who is behind this group.
| http://epic.org/epic/advisory_board.html Not surprised to find someone from
| Microsoft. Oh, lool, there's' is Ray Ozzie. However, they also have Vint

| Ray Ozzie - Groove Man
| by mike42 - Mar 18th, 2009 @ 10:11am
|
| See guys, if the FTC shuts down Google services, everyone has to go elsewhere
| for their collaboration tools. What was Ray Ozzie doing before Microsoft?
| Running a corp that made a collaboration tool called Groove! That tool was
| dead before he got on at M$, and it's really dead now (just an extra piece of
| Office). They are after Google to increase the penetration of Groove and
| Sharepoint, plain and simple.

Microsoft-led Privacy Group Backs off Legislation

| A Microsoft-led group set up three years ago has backed away from its

| Originally, the Consumer Privacy Legislative Forum was set up to bring a

| groups together and help drive privacy legislation. But now the group has
| been renamed the Business Forum for Consumer Privacy and is instead being
| billed as "an organization focused on fostering innovation in consumer

Microsoft gives Yahoo three weeks to do a deal

| And as a further cattle prod in getting a deal consummated, Microsoft

Microsoft's DreamSpark – What a Giveaway

| The rest of the $44.6bn (£22.3bn) deal would be financed with an undisclosed

|
| What that means is that it must squeeze as much money as it can from its
