I disagree with you on that one Roy. KDE4 is still in development and
thus it is pretty much interesting for geeks. I have KDE4 installed on
both my Ubuntu machines and I *LOVE* it. KDE4 still has some rough edges
and that is exactly what makes it attractive to geeks.
As for Mandriva: PCLinuxOS is nothing but a Mandriva spin off with KDE
3.x as it's default DE and Synaptics as it's GUI package management
fronted, but you knew that already ;-)
As I already wrote in the original post, I hope this post is taken with
a grain of salt. I am _not_ arguing at PCLinuxOS, but against the lying
anti-Linux shill$, claiming that one needs at least a master degree in
computer science to be able to maintain a GNU/Linux system. Booting
PCLinuxOS today proved the opposite!

Oh dear, please don't get me started (for crying out loud). I've had
some "fun" with Windows Vista as well, unfortunately I dropped that
piece of junk within a couple of days:

PCLinuxOS: an extremely user-friendly nobrainer distribution which is
even annoying for geeks, since it actually is that radically simple!
Windows Vista: an overpriced DRM laden and inefficient, resource hogging
piece of junk which drives every self respecting geek insane :-(
