You can install another distro as an advanced user.

Of course.  But it still makes one wonder why HP would disable the CLI.
You just about have to have the CLI for linux.
   If you are stuck in the old school mindset perhaps.

   It may not necessarily be the case anymore.

The only way is to have a very comprehensive admin gui.

    It all depends on how comprehensive you need it to be.

    Windows fails in this respect as well.

I don't know if the newer windows does or not.


    MacOS probably does too.


Nope.  Got both gui and cli to handle all problems if they ever arise.
