The entire model is doomed to failure because somewhere, somehow,
someone is profiting.
And rightfully so.

You Linux OSS freakazoids are idiots if you think given the choice,
people are going to give away their work for free.
It's all fine and dandy to give works away for free when nobody wants
them, like Linux, but as soon as someone with a fist full of Benjamins
arrives that free work is suddenly commercial.

Oh yea and if you think the phonies like RMS, Linus, the creater of
Samba etc are giving it up think again.
They make tons of money in other ways so they keep up the illusion of
"free"...
It's like Donald Trump going bankrupt in the 1980's,
Sure.
He could feed an entire village in Zambia for 10 years by selling the
colthes on his back, his rolex, Limo and so forth.
