Nobody ever claimed it couldn't be done on Mac or linux. Whether or not
it /can/ be done on those, though, it's *still* a MICRO$~1 problem.

A Mac or linux user has to take an action they shouldn't have taken for
this to happen: install cracked software, get programs from untrusted
sources, work constantly logged in as root or administrator, etc. While
it's possible for bogus software to get into repositories (there, I
beat you to it) the chances for that are slim.

Take the Windwoes user. What do they need to do to get pwn3d? Browse
web sites, look at email, use pirated software, log in as administrator
fulltime, use IM programs, view pictures and other things.

There's the difference. The Mac and linux users have to do things out
of the ordinary (I know piracy is "ordinary" to Windopes, but not so
much to anyone else), while Windozers just need to use the machine as
it was supposedly intended.

Until it's nearly as easy to infect Mac and linux machines as it is to
take down Windummie OSen, the ball remains in the monopoly's court.

It's *primarily* a Windows problem?? It's almost _exclusively_ a
Windows problem. A rare incident here or there doesn't change that.
