Arora web browser review

,----[ Quote ]
| Since it is still under heavy development,
| the Arora web browser is lacking in
| features, although it does at least now
| have built-in Flash plug-ins. Itâs a
| decent lightweight browser that integrates
| well with desktop environments, while the
| Web Inspector tools are useful for web
| developers.

Sneak Peek at Opera 10.5

,----[ Quote ]
| In my Web Winners and Losers column a few
| weeks ago, I noted that Opera had failed
| to bring much to the table in 2009. Opera
| 10 was a solid release, but didnât do much
| bump its market share on the desktop. That
| hasnât stopped the Opera team from trying,
| though. They released an alpha of Opera
| 10.5 on December 22nd that gives a sneak
| peek into what to expect from Opera in
| 2010.

Three console audio mixers

,----[ Quote ]
| I mentioned byobu the other day, and a few
| days before I mentioned a slew of audio
| players for the console. Hereâs a mis-mash
| of those ideas, with three audio mixers
| running inside the Ubuntu version of
| byobu.

Get An Animated & Themed GRUB Menu Using BURG

,----[ Quote ]
| Admittedly, "BURG" may sound like
| something from the depths of Star Trek
| mythology but the letters actually stand
| for "Brand-new Universal loadeR from GRUB"
| and is based on the GRUB bootloader. A
| bevvy of cool features and enhancements
| make it an option well worth considering
| if you like to beautify your system.

Arora 0.10.2!

,----[ Quote ]
| Over the past year when compiling with Qt 4.6
| Arora had been using a number of new API's.
| Shortly before 4.6.0 was released all the new
| API's went through several rounds of API
| reviews and were improved. Shortly after the
| changes were made Arora's code has been updated
| to reflect the new api. This is also why 0.10.1
| doesn't build on the older Qt 4.6 release
| candidate for those who have seen that build
| errors.

Arora Is an Open-Source Browser with Out-of-the-Box Ad Blocking

,----[ Quote ]
| Arora also boasts a similarly cool ClicktoFlash tool that
| disables embedded Flash by default until you click a Load
| Flash buttonâhandy to have when you want to keep your
| browsing light and snappy (Tools > Options, then go to the
| Privacy tab and tick Use ClicktoFlash on flash plugins). You
| can right-click any blocked flash to whitelist Flash from
| sites where you don't want to constantly click to allow, like
| YouTube, for example.

Arora: A light-weight, cross-platform web browser based on WebKit

,----[ Quote ]
| Arora is an open source web browser that uses the same WebKit rendering
| engine found in Safari and Google Chrome. But unlike those browsers, Arora is
| already capable of running on Windows, Linux, and OS X, as well as a few
| other platforms including FreeBSD.

Arora, a refreshing new Qt/WebKit browser

,----[ Quote ]
| The Gentoo Qt maintainers have been doing a fantastic job of getting cutting
| edge Qt software into shape with the qting-edge overlay. Iâve been running
| Qt 4.5 since beta1 and am pleased with the direction it is going. Recently
| the devs bumped the Arora ebuild to version 0.5. Arora is a lightweight
| browser based on Qt and WebKit.

Lightweight Arora web browser turns 0.10.0

,----[ Quote ]
| Arora 0.10.0 features the addition of AdBlock to
| block unwanted online ads and now includes the
| ability to save passwords so that users don't have to
| re-type their information each time they log into a
| website. The directory listing feature included in
| the previous release now has the ability to hide and
| show hidden files when viewing a directory and
| several keyboard short cuts have also been added.
