There are political advantages in vendor lock-in

| content by verifying the player. They have
| gone so far down the proprietary road that the
| interests of specific American companies â
| Microsoft and Adobe â are now the interests of
| the BBC.

| Itâs crazy if you think about it. Tieing
| British citizens to American technology
| companies, when there is solid British-based
| competition from Matt and his bosses, right
| there in London.

| But open source could not have enforced rules
| on users as the proprietary companies could.
| Open source could not have the politiciansâ
| backs as Microsoft might.

Help Save the BBC from HDTV DRM

BBC Director General grilled by MPs on iPlayer

BBC Corrupted

Why Linux Users Should Be Furious At BBC

| option coming out soon. Then again, who really cares? Seriously, if the BBC

| belief that this is the people's media? Up until now, I enjoyed much of what
