Why Linux skills are a necessity on your resume

,----[ Quote ]
| Jim Zemlin, the Linux Foundation's director,
| has some heartening news for Linux world professionals.
| He waslinux-logo recently quoted saying, "Linux's increasing
| use across industries is building high demand for Linux jobs
| despite national unemployment stats. Linux.com reaches
| millions of Linux professionals from all over the world.
| By providing a Jobs Board feature on the popular community
| site, we can bring together employers, recruiters and job
| seekers to lay the intellectual foundation
| for tomorrow's IT industry."

In 3 of my jobs Linux skills are *essential* (some are
research, not even OS-oriented at all). People who do not
know Linux are forced to learn it because they suffer. I've
seen that in my own eyes -- people can't do work and keep asking
other people with Linux/UNIX skills for help, *begging*. People
who say that Linux is dying are delusional. They "need to have
their head examined," to quote Obama, or maybe they are on
someone's payroll for PR. :-)

If you don't understand Linux, you might be forced to work in some
lowlife industry like PR and lie for a living.
