Of course. Nobody ever denied it.
Anything that is good can be exploited to have an evil side. For example,
rel="nofollow" is one such 'evil' from Google. If it was initiated by
Microsoft, people would be screaming for blood, my point being that perfect
solutions do not exist.
Let us hope that Google find new effective ways of fighting spammers. Above
all, Google mind the quality of SERPs, but what about people who clean up
comment spam, revert Wikis and clean up the newsgroups? This PR thing has
got to be stopped.
