I am not too sure about that. There is resistance to changes. A few minutes
ago I suggested removing '.www' at the core (merging PageRank), but it could
break a few sites. It was part of a discussion on trailing slashes and
permanent links that are SEO-friendly and are not ambiguous (e.g. look like
directories).

I would just sit and wait if I were you. if you want to upgrade already,

You can later put the final version on top of it. It's mainly bug fixes at
the moment, features are on freeze. Just make sure you make ,many backups if
you go down that route.
